Contemporary Music Program
Announces a Call for Works for the
11th Annual Santa Fe International Festival of Electroacoustic Music
February-March 2007 in Santa Fe, New Mexico USA
Submitted works are invited in the following categories:
1) Radio broadcasts
Recent works of stereo electroacoustic tape/recorded media music, preferably under 20 minutes in duration.
2) Ambient sound installations
Works for the Atrium Sound Space, an indoor public space in the lobby of Benildus Hall. Works will be diffused via a system of 2 simultaneous CD players (on shuffle play, infinite repeat) through 4 speakers arrayed around the perimeter of the space. The overall volume level of the works will be low in order to blend with the existing soundscape of the building.

Submission info:
- Submissions are limited to no more than 3 works total for either/both categories
- All works submitted must be on CD-audio (stereo, 16-bit, 44.1 kHz)
- Submissions must include program notes, brief artist bio, and relevant technical details in printed form AND plain-text file on accompanying CD-ROM
- Submissions can not be returned, and will deposited in the SFIFEM archives
- Postmark deadline for submissions is November 15, 2006
- Selected submissions will be announced on the festival website by January 15, 2007
